How is your Factory in Tecate, Mexico different than regular Aztec Mexico Clay Pottery?

Our clay is a mix of U.S. blended material and filter pressed and fired at cone 05 (1850 Degrees F). Aztec clay is Fired with wood (900 Degrees F)

How come your clay color is different on so many styles and sizes of your pottery?

We use 3 different styles of clay body. for Pressing Pots 6-20” (Buff Clay) for Liquid Slip Cast products (two piece molds) Jiggering of pots > 20” O.D. (Red Clay)

Why does it take SO LONG to get Glaze orders shipped?

With only 5 spray booths and 20 different colors offered, plus 50 different sizes offered, it becomes a challenge to keep Inventory levels stocked. Not all glaze colors fire @ same temperature, which also slows production process.

In season lead time estimate 2-3 weeks.

Do you do Custom made or Custom Glaze Colors?

YES to both! Call our office for more details. Expect longer lead times.

Can I leave Pottery in Freezing Temparatures?

Our PMD Custom products, Italian Clay, Chinese Clay, Fiberglass and Zinc are NOT FROST RESISTANT and need to be brought inside during below Freezing temperatures. THEY WILL CRACK.

How far do your trucks deliver?

We deliver from San Diego to Morro Bay and as far East as Palm Desert. + 3% Surcharge. Orders from outside our delivery area, we pack up for common Carrier and give a 10% freight Allowance to offset freight costs.
